Aloha Ka'elepulu!

We've made it to the last week of school, and officially the last PTSA email of the year!  :)

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24th is the PTSA Hosted Water Day following the morning Field Day.  There is no lunch service tomorrow so please remember to bring a home lunch for your child(ren) unless your class has made alternate plans.  The kids will be on the field for most of the day, so please have the
m bring swimsuits, a towel, SUNSCREEN and a hat if possible (their red p4c hats are great!).  Also please have them bring their water bottles.  We will have extra water bottles available as well.  For field day, please send your child to school in running shoes for the morning activities.

Water day will start immediately after lunch and there will be two large slides for the kids to enjoy.  There will be adult supervision the entire time, so your child is will be safe and watched the entire time.  If you have any questions regarding tomorrow's activities, please feel free to call Keri at 808-387-4355 anytime, and
remember school is on a Friday schedule tomorrow.

If parents are free for the day and can help out with either set up of field day or clean up of water day or helping supervise the kids, please let us know.  Set up will start around 8am, and clean up will start around 1:30pm.  If you are helping with set-up, please see Mrs. Teramura in the morning.
Also, as we plan for next year, we wanted to let you know that we have exciting new opportunities for the kids!

We will be offering two after school enrichment programs for the fall semester. These tuition-based programs will most likely be from 2:30 - 3:30 for 12 weeks. There will be more information and an opportunity to sign-up at the Back to School night and the first week of school on August 4th, 5pm in the MPR. Unfortunately, space will be limited as we test these new enrichment programs at our school, so if your child(ren) is interested, please sign-up as soon as the programs are launched.

One program will be KidzArt, a nationally recognized art program.  We would like to get your feedback on the selection of the 2nd class.  Please email back to with the following information:

1) Are you interested in an after school enrichment program?  If so, how old is your student(s)?
2) Would you prefer:
    1. Bricks4kidz - a program that teaches students the principles of engineering and architecture using Legos
    2. Martial Arts (MAC) - a program where students will learn ITF Taekwondo, respect, control, and teamwork

Everyone will receive more detailed information about these exciting opportunities once school is back in session.

Thank you for your feedback, and for another successful year!  If you would also like to help plan on Fun Fair (on August 26), please also let Keri know.  We'll be meeting a few times over the summer, and can use all the help you can give!

Have a great summer - congratulations
