Aloha Ka'elepulu Ohana,

Hope everyone had a wonderful, restful fall break and that everyone has settled nicely back into school this week.  Just a friendly reminder that the Original Art Work packets that came home over Fall Break are due back to school by this Friday, October 21st.  Orders can be submitted to your teacher or to the school office by the end of the school day.  Thank you for understanding and keeping to our deadline, as it ensures that orders will be processed timely so that you can have lots of time to mail off Christmas presents to the mainland.  Thank you to the many families who have sent in their forms already.  Please remember to include the art work, the order form and a check written to "Ka'elepulu PTSA" in the green bag provided.  Cash can also be submitted (though no change will be provided, so exact amount is appreciated).  If you lost the order sheet, there are additional forms in the office.  If you have any questions, please call the PTSA President.  And a big Mahalo to Ms. McWhinnie and all our kids for the wonderful art work!

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who donated funds through the Foodland Gives Aloha Campaign.  Our PTSA will receive $2210.26, which is incredible and will go a long way towards funding our PE, Music, and Art program in addition to assisting with other needs on campus.  We so appreciate your generosity!  Thank you to Misty Kjallman and Robin Agcaoili who worked so tirelessly on this campaign.  If you submitted a receipt for a tax donation letter, those letters are now available in the PTSA box in the office.  Please pick yours up anytime.  If you have a receipt to turn in, please do so anytime.

In this week's THT folder, you will see a Teacher's Wishlist sheet.  Our teachers and staff are in need of additional items for their classrooms/offices.  If you choose to donate, you do not have to donate to just your teacher.  Any wish that you can fulfill would be appreciated.  Please send your donations in directly to your teacher or to the front office and we will make sure they get to the right place.  If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can write a check to "Ka'elepulu PTSA" and designate which teacher/staff member you would like the donation to go to, and we will make sure your donation gets forwarded.  This wishlist will be ongoing till the end of the semester.  Questions about the wishlist?  Please contact us.

This Tuesday, October 25th, from 5pm-6pm, we will be having our monthly PTSA meeting in the library and will be discussing Turkey Trot/Movie Night, the Annual Holiday Craft Fair and the upcoming Silent Auction.  Please join us!!  We could always use more ideas and helpful hands!

Thank you again, for your continued support for our school, and for our kids!
